What do the ingredients in the title make? A table! At least in Aïssa Logerot’s world they do. I might be mistaken on the number of bits of wood, but the equation remains the same: a completely enjoyable build-it-yourself table made from simple, visible parts. Lots of people get down on IKEA for creating low-quality, oversimplified designs, but I say no! The best part is being able to build it yourself, and easily! Logerot’s on this same tip.

Try this, blindfold yourself and pour a glass of water without spilling it over. Ok, make this tougher, fill in exactly ¾ th cup. Tough? Yeah, that’s how hard it is for the blind people to fill in mugs of beverages without spilling. Dipping the pinkie to anticipate the levels is ok for cold stuff, but what about scalding hot coffee! The Braun Bell Mug has 3 indicative levels on the handle and liquid-level sensors within the mug. The blind folks only need to choose their levels and keep pouring till the bell sounds.

yesterday my friend bryan was in town and we spent the better part of the afternoon watching seriously immature youtube videos like the cinnamon challenge and kittens book. but then he pointed me in the direction of this incredible stop motion video by israeli artist, oren lavi. whether you listen with or without sound, this video is a MUST-WATCH. it’s like a magical wonderland of bed-time fun. (in a non-dirty, work-safe way)

Dandella (think dandelion) is a GPS-like tracking device. Though it behaves more like a sunflower always point towards the sun, this device lights up & bends towards its direction or other dandella that it’s been synchronised with. Easy for finding your friend in a crowded mall, or for parents to keep track of their kids at the mall.

I like the idea… just wish he smile in the pictures. It is not like humans are lifeless.
The brief was to optimize the application of BASF’s plastic material ULTRADUR and the result was an Induction Iron. Utilizing ULTRADUR’s heat resistant heat resistant properties to his advantage, Therese came up with a bare minimal design that has been “stripped down to the essentials.”
